This SALT season, our Bible focus for the Fall 2011 SALT season will be the life of David. God described David in these memorable words, "I have found David a man after my own heart who will do all My will' (Acts 13:22; 1Sam 13:14). We will explore the different positive heart qualities that are present in David's life and apply them to our own. Qualities like confidence, humility, reverence, reflection, graciousness, and repentance.

A Season of Discipleship

Making disciples of Jesus Christ is at the core of what we're about at Focused Living, whether that is helping a man get connected to Jesus Christ for the first time, or helping men to go deeper in their relationship with Christ. The format of discipleship that we are continually refining is called SALT (Spiritually Authentic Leadership Training).

Some distinctives of SALT include:
1. Pairing with another man for a 6 month commitment to walk the spiritual journey together

2. Individually pursuing God through His Word, journaling, and a selected Christian book.

3. Practical Life Assignments to put feet on our faith

4. Commitment to a small group (5-8 men) for mutual encouragement

5. $140 per season (meals, materials, admin)
